The Hotel Metzgerwirt in St. Veit im Pongau is situated directly on the Salzach river and is thus the perfect starting point for a rafting tour or for canyoning. In-house, professional rafting guides will hit the waters with you. Two other providers also offer canyoning and rafting on the Salzach river as part of guided tours.

Experience the fascinating river area from a different perspective during white-water rafting and hit the wild waters of the Salzach river with a dinghy and under professional guidance.

Or make your way through spectacular rock formations while canyoning, swimming, jumping, climbing and sliding – a very special kind of outdoor experience that is not only adventurous, but also very fun. The tours can vary depending on difficulty, and there is always the possibility to be roped down instead of jumping. You will also be supplied with helmet and life jacket on site. Still, there’s quite some courage needed for both canyoning and rafting on the Salzach river.

In order to successfully master the challenges that white water sport provides, it is important to have an experienced guide at our side. You also need to be able to rely 100% on the group. Our hotel guests can also take a seat in our in-house inn. Both restaurants can be combined in case of low capacity inviting everyone to enjoy their meals in our snug inn and chat about the events of the day. Afterwards you’ll certainly go to your comfy bed with the good feeling of having achieved something.
